Is it yet another social networking site, an open source MySpace competitor?
No. OpenHuman is a self-expression experiment. (TODO: reply this)
Is it really open source?
Yes, all source code is available on our project page. Moreover, we make our database dumps freely available.
Database dumps are released periodically every month.
What you guys think of MySpace and other social networking sites?
Nothing.. We're not for or against it. Self-expression is a very natural need of human beings. And also SN sites provide
some kind of communication. OpenHuman is not a social networking site and does not compete with them. We rather see ourselves
as a complementary element of self-expression needs.
Why should I open the most intimate of myself?

Why you show ads?
Because this site somehow needs to be up and running. Wikipedia does not show ads, because they have the risk
of manipulation for profit of some vandalists. We don't and that's why we show ads instead of making donation
campaigns (like Wikipedia). However, we're committed to keep ads unobtrusive. Current ads are a bit obtrusive, we
know, that's because the current layout is not a well thought one, we'll have a better layout and less ads in the
future releases.
