(Couldn't remember what to do with the 1 after carrying it.) # I have not yet turned in a single assignment at university which I did not start less than 24 hours before it was due. # I am somewhat proud of that fact. # When communicating on IMs, I frequently use pure punctuation to express more complex thoughts or feelings (such as a message consisting entirely of "?" or "!" or "...") # When communicating online, I almost always use correct spelling or punctuation otherwise. # I am a strange combination of totally laid-back and very easily annoyed. # I am also incurably cynical with persistent traces of idealism. # Ernest Becker's final books, "The Denial of Death" and "Escape From Evil" made the world make sense to me. # Alan Watts is another major influence on my thinking, despite the fact that he and Becker are almost diametrically opposed. # I have no problem with Hard Determinism (and the corresponding non-existance of Free Will). I must have been destined to believe in it. # I am a mass of contradictions. # My favorite thing about Wikipedia is the ability to correct typos and other errors as soon as I see them. # My second-favorite thing about Wikipedia is that, in many respects, it has succeeded where it had no right to do so (and every reason in the world to fail), and for the most part is actually a surprisingly accurate and useful reference source.
